Yoo Hyun's hyperreal portraits from paper

Carefully slicing away thin portions of paper, Yoo Hyun forms a woven pattern of hand-cut hyper-realistic portraits.

The Korea-based artist uses an x-acto knife and tweezers to meticulously slice out necessary shapes and patterns of negative and positive space. With the addition of a paint splatter for effect, the quality and size of her pieces are astounding. [via Designboom]
