"As If It Were Already Here" Janet Echelman

Boston-based artist Janet Echelmen returns with a her gorgeous, aerial sculptures, this time a half an acre above Boston’s Rose Kennedy Fitzgerald Greenway.

The site-specific “As If It Were Already Here” follows her previous works of colorfully-lit netting sculptures that float over crowds, composed of fishing nets and water particles. Her latest piece, weighing in at 2,000 lbs, takes direct influence from the Boston streets below and will stay up through early October. [via Hifructose]
