Focused on the contemporary effects of mass media, urban development and technology, Vhils has a new solo show, "Dissonance", at Lazarides.
Portuguese artist Alexandre Farto aka Vhils hones in on the incorrigible alienation that we endure in time of over-stimulation and abstract realities. Appropriating the aesthetic he has achieved world-renowned status for in the streets, Vhils uses wood, billboard, metal and styrofoam to expound on the "Dissonance" we all experience.
Vhils' "Dissonance" runs at Lazarides Rathbone through April 23. [via ArrestedMotion]
